Such a little boy in such a big room. Intensive care was, we were told several times, probably the end. We lived at Alder Hey for 9 months in total, through operations, therapies and and drugs too numerous to recall. The staff were awesome in all departments and the neuro team sent us home prepared for our 'new normal'.
