Just the flu

Because Fin couldn't run around, it was always difficult for him to shake off chest infections. We lived with tube feeding, epilepsy, medicines to reduce spasticity, so antibiotics were just part of that mix. Then one night his oxygen levels just wouldn't go back up, so we took him to hospital. Influenza B they said. You wouldn't think it was so serious but we ended up back in ICU at Alder Hey. His little body just couldn't fight anymore. The staff once more were amazing, sensitive, and caring. Thank you all. Fin passed away on 20th Jan 2011.
